RECRUITMENT OF CHIEF MINISTER’S FELLOWS Under Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan
Short Information: Assam aims to accelerate economic growth, expand employment opportunities in the non-farm sector by 2030 and become one of the country’s five best-performing states. Achieving this vision requires a diversified industrial base that draws on the State’s natural resources, human capital and strategic location, supported by stronger connectivity, competitiveness and resilience. The Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA) promotes entrepreneurship among the educated youth of Assam. Through training, financial assistance, guidance and access to markets, the programme supports unemployed youth in becoming self-reliant and developing projects suitable for financing by financial institutions. Approximately one lakh youth are covered under the programme. The Government of Assam, under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has introduced this fellowship to bring the energy and knowledge of self-driven young professionals to CMAAA. Fellows will mentor beneficiaries in developing their ideas into viable enterprises, work closely with the Government of Assam and its senior leadership, and gain practical experience in programme implementation and entrepreneurship development.
